About us
“Tingug” is a noun in the Tausug dialect. It means human voice. The same can be said for the Hiligaynon, Waray and Cebuano languages. Most if not everyone in our team are experts and specialists belonging to these ethno-linguistic and indigenous groups. And we, influenced by our humble beginnings, ardently believe that for genuine success in any project to occur, the people involved should be meaningfully engaged—their opinions and realities, their “Tingug”, must be part of the process. We believe that there must be a balance among the voices in a process—the leadership, the implementers, and especially those the project is intended for—all voices need to be heard.
We are a composite team of legal and technical professionals with long and extensive background in development projects. Our focus has always been on ensuring meaningful participation in development projects: in “nothing about us, without us.” Hence, our projects follow a human-centered designs-thinking methodology that empathizes with rights-holders and duty-bearers alike, using our organizational strategic design: Commune, Consult, Co-create, Customize, and Capacitate.
